Choosing the right hosting provider is not easy—especially when there are so many options. Over the last few years, I’ve tried multiple hosting services for different websites, and BigRock was one of the hosting platforms I used for a long time, especially for small to medium-size projects.
In this review, I’m sharing my genuine experience, what I liked, what can be better, and whether I feel BigRock is worth choosing in 2025.
The first reason I picked BigRock was simple:
It was affordable and beginner-friendly.
At the time, I wanted a hosting provider that didn’t require a huge investment, and BigRock offered exactly that. Their plans were cheap, the setup was quick, and the dashboard felt familiar because it uses cPanel, which is something I already liked.
If you're starting your first website or blog, BigRock feels comfortable and easy to work with.
Budget-Friendly Plans
BigRock gives one of the lowest entry prices in India. If you’re tight on budget, this is a big plus.
cPanel Access
I personally prefer cPanel over custom panels because it’s simple, predictable, and compatible with many tools. BigRock offering cPanel is a huge advantage.
Free SSL
This saved me extra costs and kept the site secure.
Decent Uptime
My websites stayed online most of the time. No major downtime issues.
Indian & US Servers
I got better speed for Indian visitors when I selected the India data center.
One-Click Apps
Installing WordPress, plugins, and tools was easy.
Speed Could Be Better
If you compare BigRock with Hostinger or SiteGround, you’ll notice speed differences, especially during traffic spikes.
Backups Are Not Fully Free
Basic plans don’t include daily backups by default.
Support Can Be Slow Sometimes
I got responses, but not always instantly. This can be improved.
No Free Domain on Starter Plan
Only available on higher plans.
These issues aren’t deal-breakers, but they’re important to know if you expect top-tier hosting performance.
In my opinion: Yes, if you want affordable hosting that simply works.
BigRock is best suited if you’re:
a beginner
a blogger
running a small website
building low to medium traffic sites
looking for cPanel-based hosting
They offer:
🔹 Shared Hosting
🔹 WordPress Hosting
🔹 VPS Hosting
🔹 Dedicated Servers
🔹 Domain Services
Their pricing is still one of the most competitive in India, and that’s what makes it appealing.
Here’s my honest take:
If you want simple, affordable, and beginner-friendly hosting, BigRock is a great choice. It’s not the fastest hosting provider in the world, but for the price you pay, you get reliable performance, cPanel access, SSL, and an easy setup process.
I personally recommend BigRock for:
✔ New bloggers
✔ Students
✔ Small business websites
✔ Anyone who prefers cPanel
✔ People who want a budget option without complications
If you’re okay with slightly slower speeds but want a trustworthy, low-cost hosting provider, BigRock will serve you well.
