I recently had a chance to do some online shopping on jabong.com and thought I’d share my views and experience with you all. Jabong, as you know, needs no introduction in the Indian market! When you think of online fashion shopping, one of the first names that come to the mind is that of Jabong. But with that said, I must tell you that for clothes, I have never really shopped that much online. That’s because you can’t really see the fabric, how it fits, what size would suit you the best. So now when you know my apprehensiveness when I first placed an order for a skirt, let’s get to the review and see how my experience with them went through…

REVIEW
Layout: The website has a very clean and easy to navigate user interface. Everything is well organised into various sections and then each one further into sub-sections. So if you are a woman and looking to treat yourself with some online shopping, you can open up the women’s section and there you can filter the products according to their category (like clothing, jewellery, bags, shoes etc.); any ongoing discounts/offers; brands; price ranges and even colors! One commendable thing about the website is that for most of the clothing items, they provide videos of models flaunting them. That is a great help when you’re trying to guess the fit and decide if the look would suit you or not.
Brands: The website stocks a plethora of products with a vast collection of brands (1700+) including many of the popular international brands like Aldo, Tom Tailor, Dorothy Perkins, Vero Moda, Mango, Steve Madden, Gas and Jimmy Choo to name a few. It also has a separate ‘premium’ section for many designer labels like Ritu Kumar, Satya Paul, Manish Arora, Rohit Bal and Marquee by Karan Johar. There is also a whole section dedicated to beauty/makeup products and I was surprised to find products from international brands like Ardell, Bath & Body Works, Alba Botanica, Babyliss, Victoria’s Secret in addition to drugstore brands like L’oreal, Lakme, Maybelline, Revlon etc there too.
Discounts: Most of the times, depending upon the brand, there are some discounts or offers going on. As I said earlier, you can always filter the products with what kind of offers/discounts suit you the most. There is also a separate category dedicated to sale where you can find a good number of products on slashed prices. I had also signed in for their newsletter so I was always updated of any oncoming sales

Customer Support: Jabong offers 3 ways in which you can contact the customer support. There is a Live Chat option, you can email them or you can call them. I didn’t have a very smooth ‘live chat’ experience as the support was most of the times offline. But what they lack there, they more than make up for it in the other two options. The customer support via the phone and the email was very helpful (and might I say patient!) with all the queries I had. There was a minor mismatch on the details of a particular product and when I contacted them about it, they sent me a prompt reply informing me that the issue had been forwarded to the respective department to correct the information. I even got a call from their customer support a couple of days later to follow-up regarding that issue. The biggest drawback of online shopping is the uncertainty factor. But if the customer support department of the website is that strong, it makes your shopping experience all the more pleasant. And that’s how it should be. Right?
Shipping: My package was well packed and since there was nothing breakable in it, there was no additional bubble wrap. Till date, I’ve shopped from them twice and both times, my package reached me within 2-3 working days.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Jabong.com is a shoppers’ paradise with a plethora of different brands/products for women, men and children. And even for the apprehensive shopper, most of the clothes have videos of models wearing them that gives you a rough idea of how the product would look on you. If you’re still unsatisfied, they offer a limited time return/exchange on most of the products. In addition to that, I personally had quite a smooth experience with their customer support and the shipping was pretty fast. So if you’re like me and haven’t still shopped from them, I highly suggest checking them out. Recommended!
